We’ve spent a lot of time researching and buying toys for our two little guys, and even more time watching them play. Here are our favorite toy brands from over the past few years. Please note that we are not sponsored by these brands, but we do use affiliate links in our blog.
VTech is a brand that’s been around since I was a kid and has a wide array of toys for all ages. We’ve especially liked their sit-to-stand learning walker and their activity cubes. What our little ones enjoy the most though are their Go! Go! Smart Wheels sets as they can play with the cars on the go, or hook up the different tracks to make bigger sets.
2) LEGO Duplo
Another brand that’s been around since we were kids, we love buying our kids their Duplo sets. They love seeing some of their favorite cartoon characters in the sets and have really been getting into the train track ones.
We didn’t realize how many toys fell under this brand until we looked at their website. But walking through a Target aisle, and they take up much of their own space. What’s even better is they use more durable materials and some come with wood like the toys from when we were growing up.
Another brand we like that has taken off in recent years is Melissa and Doug. They have everything from puzzles to imagination play and also frequently make their toys using more durable materials.
We’ve seen this company around a lot with dollhouses and imagination play, especially at Costco during the holidays. They have everything from craft tables to train tables to kitchen sets and our kids love them all!
Being a family that’s big into puzzles and board games, we really like these for our little ones. They start at age 2, but are a great way to teach them about organizing and literally putting together the pieces.
